ABOUT
About me...At the age of 24, Benjamin Hooten has been dancing and competing for almost 15 years, and has loved every second of it. He started off dancing country & western and took to it like a duck to water. With over 300 amateur competition wins, Ben has a few accomplishments that really stand out. Before he was able to drive he won the UCWDC Country World Championship Junior Division from 1997 to 2001. As he got older he started to discover his true talent for West Coast Swing. At 15 he made it on to an all professional team that went to the US Open and placed 3rd. During all of these years of dancing Ben still found the time to be accepted as a cast member for the Broadway show Urban Cowboy, but unfortunately due to school obligations had to decline. Finally, at age 16 he got the chance of a lifetime, to dance with Lisa DAmico at Dallas Dance. After only a week of practice time Lisa and Ben placed 1st in a very tough field of talented dancers, and this sealed the deal for him. Benjamin now competes professionally on the NASDE West Coast Swing circuit, and is hoping for a very good year. With a true love of dance, his teaching skills are being honed in. Ben truly loves the feeling people get when they enjoy dancing, and he wants to spread that to as many people as possible.

Group Classes and Private Lessons
Hello everyone!! Im so excited to announce that Ill be having 5 regular group classes a week. Yes thats right I said 5!! You can now go to the Home Page to register online and reserve your spot. For private lessons please contact me via the Contact Page.All classes will start in February and will run throughout the month. We will be implementing a Roll Over system. This basically means that if you miss one night of class, it will Roll Over for the next month or can be applied for a discount for that next month of classes. Lastly, all classes will be limited to only 50 people, so please register as soon as possible. Monday Night - 7pm Novice/Intermediate West Coast Swing$48 per month per personThis class will focus on the dancers in our community that already know the basics of WCS, but will also help any level continue to get better. We will cover the basics of Musicality and Technique that you must have in order to grow in this dance.Wednesday Night - 7pm / 8pmBeginner Country / Intermediate Country$48 per month per person for one class...... OR ....... $70 per month per person for BOTH!!!Just as it says, Beginner/Intermediate Country to help get moving around like you know what youre doing. Thats what were all after, right? This class will rotate country dances every month for both Beginner and Intermediate classes. We will be starting with Two-Step just to make sure that question gets answered.Thursday Night - 7-9pmCompetition West Coast Swing$80 per person per month for 2 hours!!This is the one that Im really excited about!! I wanted to offer a class for all levels to attend and take something away from it. This class will focus on aspects of doing Jack n Jills and Strictly Swings. We will be holding mock Jack n Jills and Strictlys that will be judged. My goal is to give you a secure setting where you can learn what the judges are looking for and apply it before doing the real thing. I judge all over the country and want to pass my knowledge on to the dancers. This will also not be your ordinary class. Be ready to work!! And I cant stress this enough.....ALL LEVELS!!! From Novice to All/Stars, AND......Im going to throw something in to all who attends!!Thursday Night 9pm until ???Social Swing Party!!!! Free to anyone and everyone......yes, you heard right again. Anyone who wants to better their dance is more than welcome to join us and party!!All classes will be held at A Dance With Me Studio next to Mikes Hobby Shop located at:1201 N I-35 ECarrollton, TX 75006
